For manual or robotic welding applications, it is necessary to incorporate a flux core into the wire. This core has the function of a stripper, responsible for deoxidizing metals, reducing surface tension and improving heat transfer.
The flux used is manufactured under J-STD-004B, the most used being a fast-Flow flux type ROL0, favoring optimal wettability, reduction of splashes and greater productivity.

DESCRIPTION
Soldering wire with a 2.2% flux core is a
general purpose solder with slightly activated resin for use
in electrical and electronic applications. The wire with core
flux 2.2% provides excellent release and removal of
oxide producing shiny and uniform solder joints. The
Flux-cored wire solder produces low residue
post-processing that can be left on the substrate or removed with
commercially available cleaners.
